Freikörperkultur
An den meisten Stränden Rügens und Hiddensees ist das Nacktbaden erlaubt. Die schönsten FKK-Strände sind auf der Halbinsel Mönchgut und im Norden auf der Halbinsel Wittow. Die strikte Einhaltung von Schutzprogrammen aller Ostseeanrainerstaaten zeigt Wirkung: Die Wasserqualität der Ostsee ist wieder besser geworden.

In der ehemaligen DDR gab es keine speziell ausgewiesenen FKK-Strände - wer wollte, ließ eben die Hüllen fallen. Allen Schildern zum Trotz wird dieses Prinzip auf Rügen weiterhin ähnlich gehandhabt. Höchstens dort, wo Strandkorbkolonien stehen, gilt FKK als anrüchig.

Insgesamt sollte man die Thematik mit der nötigen Toleranz und frei nach dem Motto "Leben und leben lassen" betrachten.
